How to prevent allergies try some home remedies?

All around the world people have been suffering from seasonal allergies and they get symptoms like a runny nose, red watery eyes, nasal congestion etc. These people remain helpless with decreased output at the workplace, they are unable to concentrate on their work and everything seems topsy-turvy.
What’s the solution?
Allergies are often caused by house dust, cockroach droppings, animal dander and indoor molds. So it’s a good idea to take some precautions.
Dust Mites — In a household, you will come across dust particles located in almost every comer. These mites are in fact responsible for allergy and asthma. Some of the symptoms of allergy include a runny nose and sneezing.
Controlling dust mites –
  •  utilize a dehumidifier. You will have to control humidity to below 50%.
  •  Use air-conditioning
  •  Remove carpets
  •  Wash bedding weekly in hot water (130°F) and dried in hot drier.
  •  Weekly vacuuming help in further remove dust mites
  •  Use a vacuum cleaner with a filter or double bay.
  •  Use dust masks while cleaning household
  •  Avoid going out early in the morning when the level of pollen is at peak.
  •  Air conditioners are not luxury for an allergic person, but helps people with allergy in providing relief.
Pets — Did you know that pets have been found a source of severe allergic reactions? You can get an allergic reaction from pets, dead skin of pets, saliva and urine. Symptoms of an animal allergy include sneezing, itching of the skin.
Sometime allergic reaction starts after 8 to 12 hours after coming into contact with the animals. Cats and dogs produce a certain amount of allergens per week.
Solution — Removing pet from home solves only a partial problem. If you keep your pet in your yard, you will meet allergens in your yard. The point is to bath your cats and dogs frequently.
Have hardwood floor, tile or linden. Replace bedding and carpeting which contain animal dander in it. If you are unable to avoid exposure to the animal try to minimize contact with them. At least keep the pet out of your bedroom and other rooms.
Fungi and molds — Fungi and molds are also responsible for allergens.
  • Indoor Fungi crop up in areas on the house which are damp.
  • Avoid storing clothes, papers or other items in damp areas.
  • Use dehumidifiers
  • Fungi or molds crop up in basements/bathrooms and kitchens they need consistent cleaning.
  • Use home air filters. Those who are allergic and have asthma should avoid airborne irritants viz., tobacco, paint and perfumes, cleaning products etc.
